When we go on holiday it’s a great opportunity to treat ourselves to some real indulgence and relaxation and to pull out all of the stops in order to make it a perfect experience.
However some of us take this farther than others and if you look at some of the world’s most expensive hotel suits you’ll realise that truly ‘pulling out all the stops’ can be as extravagant as you want it to be. Here we’ll look at some of the world’s most expensive hotel suits and rooms to get an idea of what real luxury and extravagance is and do a bit of vicarious living. Perhaps at the same time you might feel a little less guilty about spending a lot on a five star hotel for your holiday.
Bear in mind that of course prices will vary depending on currency, time of year and various other factors and that new hotels are opening up all the time. However this selection of the world’s most expensive hotel suites should all be considered the ‘heavy hitters’ and one potentially the world’s most expensive hotel.
The Atlantis:
The Atlantis is reportedly the world’s most expensive hotel with its Atlantis Bridge suit as its crowning jewel and officially the world’s most expensive hotel suite at $25,000-$37,000 for a night. Just think, that’s one million dollars for just three of four days at the hotel!
So what makes this the world’s most expensive hotel? Well first off it has a great location being at the top of a large bridge connecting the Royal Tower buildings giving it a view over the whole area and an exciting ‘suspended’ feel. Of course you get more than just a single room for the world’s most expensive hotel suit too and instead get ten rooms adorned with gold and even your own butler to run errands and fetch drinks and a cook to cook you up meals on request. The rooms also have 12 foot high ceilings and include an ‘entertainment center’ as well as a bar to ensure you never have to leave the suit.
Hotel Cala di Volpe:
Hotel Cala di Volpe in Italy is another option that some report as the world’s most expensive hotel with price estimates from around $27-$36 thousand. For this you get only three bedrooms (with three bathrooms) but on the plus side you also get an outdoors pool (salt water) and your own solarium and gazebo. Amusingly it is reported that this contender for the world’s most expensive hotel still charges visitors for its internet access however!
The President Wilson Hotel:
Meanwhile the world’s most expensive hotel generally considered just behind the Atlantis and Hotel Cala di Volpe at $23,000-$35,000 per night, is the President Wilson Hotel. Here the Imperial Suite, which takes up the entire top floor, is not only incredibly luxurious, but also incredibly secure with bullet proof windows and doors and armed guards making perfect for politicians and celebrities visiting Geneva.
As you’d expect from what’s nearly the world’s most expensive hotel, this suit is decorated largely in marble and hardwood and comes with its own study, library, billiards table and cocktail lounge and five bathrooms – one of which includes a Jacuzzi and steam room which is something even the world’s most expensive hotel can boast. This means no getting bored and no queuing for the bathroom… though that said, as the suit can accommodate forty people at once this makes it a little more likely. That also means that what would be near-enough the world’s most expensive hotel becomes a lot more affordable.
Grand Resort Lagonissi:
Another one of the world’s most expensive hotel suits is the Royal Villa at the Grand Resort Lagonissi in Greece. Another three bedroom suit, this one makes up for its lofty pricing with three swimming pools (indoor and outdoor) as well as a see view through a huge sliding door as well as a private chef, butler - and a first on our list of the world’s most expensive hotel suits – it’s own pianist! For all this you can expect to pay similarly high prices at around $20,000-$34,000.
Park Hyatt Vendome:
Being fans of luxury, it is no surprise that the French would want to have a contender for the world’s most expensive hotel in their capital city. The Park Hyatt Vendome is just that at around $20,000 per night and featuring shockingly high ceilings, rows of pillars and a spa suit in its Imperial Suite. Not quite the world’s most expensive hotel, but not too shabby either!

Tested by the Guiness Book of World Records in March of 2007, the SSC Ultimate Aero TT is still the worlds fastest car for the 2009-2010 year. With a top speed of 257 miles per hour it has surpassed the previous worlds fastest car, the Bugatti Veyron.
The SSC Ultimate Aero’s base price is $654,400 US, and it is well worth the 0-60 miles per hour in 2.7 seconds produced by the 1,183 horses running wild under the hood. The worlds fastest car is manufactured by Shelby SuperCars, who released an even more powerful 2009 edition of the SSC Ultimate Aero. With a few tweaks here and there Shelby SuperCars was able to squeeze 15 percent more horsepower out of the Twin Turbo V8 engine. With an output of 1,287 horses the worlds fastest car, surpasses its closest competitor the Bugatti Veyron by two-hundred and eighty-six horses.
The 2009 model of the SSC Ultimate Aero has an increased speed of 270 miles per hour. To add the worlds fastest car stopping power the AeroBrakeTM system has been introduced. The AeroBrakeTM, is a rear spoiler that works much like flaps on an airplane. When the brake is applied the rear spoiler raises according to the amount of brake pressure, bring the car to a stop far sooner than brakes alone could.
The second worlds fastest car is the Bugatii Veyron, clocked at 253 miles per hour by the Guiness Book of Word Records. The Bugatti Veyron can go 0-60 in 2.5 seconds, the world record for acceleration in a production car. The worlds fastest car operates off of the Narrow Angle W16 Engine, which boasts 1001 horsepower. Named after the Bugatti race car driver Pierre Veyron, this 16 cylinder engine, has four banks of four cylinders. If that’s not enough, the W16 engine also has not one, not two, but 4 turbochargers!
The worlds fastest cars run hard and hot, the Bugatti Veyron accounts for this also with ten radiators, ensuring the entire W16 engine stays cool. The Bugatti is capable of going faster, much faster in fact, but it is governed at 253 miles per hour in order to prevent tire damage. Due to the 16 cylinder engine, this car gulps 5 gallons of fuel every mile (5 miles per gallon – highway) and approximately 12 miles per gallon in city traffic. Only the worlds richest and most prestigious can afford the second worlds fastest car due to its price tag of $1,700,000 US.
Placing in third is the Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo, priced at 550,000 US. The Saleen S7 is powered by a Twin-Turbo V8 Engine, capable of producing 750 horsepower. The third worlds fastest car is capable of speeds upwards to 448 miles per hour. The Saleen S7 can reach 60 miles per hour in approximately 3.2 seconds and speeds of 100 miles per hour in less than 7 seconds.
The fourth fastest car is a Swedish production car, the Koenigsegg CCX. Producing 806 horsepower the 90 Degree V8 Engine can accelerate this car from 0 to 60 in 3.2 seconds. It may not be the fastest car in the world but boasting top speeds of 245 miles per hour is not bad. The CCX in the Koenigsegg’s name stands for “Competition Coupe X” and it was launched as part of the 10th Anniversary Celbration of Koenigsegg. With 50mm headroom space, this car has become the most spacious of the worlds fastest cars. The price tag on the Koenigsegg CCX is $545,568 US.
The McLaren F1 was the worlds fastest car until the Bugatti Veyron was introduced. The McLaren F1 reaches a top speed of 240 miles per hour and is powered by the BMW 6 Liter V12 Engine. This engine has an output of 627 horsepower and also has an option for Imperial Horsepower. Many different versions of the McLaren F1, the fourth worlds fastest car, including sixty-five street versions, five LMs (built for their victory at Le Mans in 1995), three are road versions of their race car and 28 GTRs for the road.
The McLaren F1 concept came from Chief Engineer Gordon Murray, who introduced the use of carbon, titanium, and gold for the carbon fiber monocoque chassis. The price tag on the fourth worlds fastest car was $970,000 US, when it was still being produced. Whereas the McLaren F1 is no longer manufactured the current price tag is probably far greater.

We all dread the moment when the bill comes and we've all had that moment of 'how much??' when we read it and find it not to our liking. However if you think that your last seafood meal was expensive (tip included...) then it might be somewhat comforting to know that there probably foods out there that are a whole lot more expensive. Here we'll look at some of the world's most expensive foods that might appear on the world's most expensive food bills...
Matsutake Mushrooms Matsutake mushrooms cost in the realms of $1,000 per pound and this puts them at one of the world's most expensive foods. This is partly due to their rarity as the mushrooms are killed by an insect that kills the trees necessary for these mushrooms to grow. There is still currently no method of farming the Matsutake mushroom, so any entrepreneur looking for a good venture might want to look into it. The mushroom was once synonymous with Autumn in Japan.
Wagyu Steak Wagyu steak is from Wagyu cattle raised in Japan. The most elite of all is Kobe beef which is raised on a diet of only beer and hand massaged in order to ensure tenderness and marbling. They are incredibly expensive (around $2,800 per steak) and unfortunately also incredibly fattening. But you only live once eh?
Almas Caviar We all associate caviar with expense and extravagance, but when that caviar comes from Iran this is even more the case. Very rare and so extremely expensive, Almas Caviar is sold by the kilo and comes in a solid 24 karat gold tin. It also comes from Belua that is over 100 years old. If you really want to pull out all the stops for your dinner party, then Almas Caviar is an absolute must. It will set you back around $25,000 per tin.
Chocopologie For chocolate lovers who want to take their devotion to the extreme, the most expensive chocolate in the world is the $2,600 per-pound Chocopologie. It can only be ordered and is always handmade and purported to be the tastiest chocolate in the world. The name sounds eerily like 'apology' and this would certainly be a guaranteed way for any man to win some brownie points (unless the argument was about money...).
The $1,000 Frittata The Le Parker Meridien hotel is a hotel in New York that now offers a $1,000 omelet. The egg itself is not what creates the expense however, but rather the mixture of lobster and caviar that goes into its creation (is that Alma caviar?).
Fleurburger The Fleurburger could only have come from Vegas. With a price tag of $5,000 it has to be the most OTT burger in existence and can be purchased from the Mandalay Bay's 'Fleur de Lys'. This price tag is partly the result of the beef being Kobe beef and also containing foie de gras, a truffle source and served on a brioche bun. For your $5,000 thuogh you also get a bottle of Chateau Petrus served in a glass of Ichendorf Brunello stemware. It's not a burger... it's an experience (and one that would make Elvis proud). Bargain!
Poop Coffee Amazingly it is possible to pay $1,000 per kilogram for a beverage known as 'poop coffee'. And it's not just a clever name – this coffee is actually 'processed' in the digestive tract of various Luwak animals (distant relatives of the Mongoose) from the Sumatra jungles. Presumably it tastes better than the name suggests...

Protein is a highly important part of our diet. In fact it is literally the building block that makes up our body. Both protein and our muscles/tendons/flesh etc are made from amino acids, and that means that when we eat meat we are almost literally recycling it to use on our own bodies. When it comes to protein you really literally are what you eat. Eating good quality protein then will help your body to heal wounds, build muscle and create other tissue. However not all protein is made equal, and if you want to get the very best protein then you need to carefully select your sources. Here we will look at some of the best sources of protein in the world, whether you are looking for them for building muscle, or just to stay in shape. The different protein sources here have different benefits, and some of the sources have other unrelated health benefits too, so here we'll give a brief description of each source and why its so good along with its listing.
Red meat: Red meat means lamb or beef and typically it's not considered one of the best sources of protein in the world. The reason for this is that it's not lean and that means that you take a lot of fat in with the amino acids when you eat this meat. This also means that red meat can increase cholesterol so a bodybuilder wouldn't be advised to eat huge amounts of lamb to repair the muscles and help them grow. However this doesn't mean that red meat is not without merit and it has many other advantages as a protein source. For one, fat isn't entirely a bad thing and in fact aids your body in processing protein – so you don't want entirely lean protein sources or you won't be able to get the most benefit from them. At the same time red meat also triggers the production of natural testosterone and that means that puts the body in an anabolic state where it will build muscle, heal wounds and burn fat. This is why some bodybuilders take testosterone supplements. Red meat is not one of the best sources of protein in the world in terms of lean protein alone, but it has its place certainly.
Egg: Egg on the other hand is one of the best sources of protein in the world in terms of lean protein, and is quite likely in fact the best source full stop. Egg white has very little fat in it so many people will leave the yolk out when then eat egg for its protein. However this is actually a mistake as only when the white and the yolk are combined do they contain all 27 amino acids (the exact number of amino acids depends on the report you read, but the most recent data suggests there are 27) and egg is the only source of protein that does. It is highly important that the body gets all 27 amino acids every day to be able to perform all of the maintenance tasks it needs to because each amino acid is used for a different job. Normally then you need to eat multiple sources of protein in each helping. As such egg is certainly one of the best protein sources in the world and the only source that is sufficient to meet the body's requirements on its own. Some bodybuilders will eat egg raw but this can actually lead to a biotin deficiency which results in loss of muscle mass.
Chicken: Chicken is superior to red meat in terms of the lean protein and has comparatively very little fat. Meanwhile it is also highly 'bio available' which means that the body can use more of the protein found in chicken than it can in red meat. However chicken lacks some of the other benefits of red meat. For eating in high quantities and for sportsmen and women chicken is one of the most popular and best sources of protein in the world.
Tuna: Tuna fish, like chicken, is one of the best sources of protein in the world in terms of how lean and bio-available it is. At the same time though it also has several other benefits. It is high in the essential fatty acid 'Omega 3' which makes it great for the joints and again aids with the body's protein absorption. Meanwhile this also boosts IQ and helps to keep the joints supple.
Whey: Whey is the protein source that is found in most 'protein shakes'. It is a by-product of the cheese making process so comes from milk. It is highly bio-available and also very convenient in powder form allowing for it to be easily carried around and eaten in very large quantities. Most manufacturers will also include many other complimentary ingredients such as creatine to ensure that they are the best sources of protein in the world.

World's Most Amazing Animals - Be stunned !

Really all animals are very amazing and each one is very unique and different in their own way. Animals that might seem fairly mundane that we encounter often we might not think of as the world's most amazing animals and yet they might surprise you with your capabilities. For example a cat can hear ultrasonic noises that mice make and that are two high pitches for humans or even dogs, while a Squirrel can fall from 100 feet and survive!
Amazing though they are, these are still not the world's most amazing animals, and the abilities of some creatures are simply astonishing. Here we will look at some of the world's most amazing animals and what they can do that sets them apart.
Dirrocoelium Dendeiticum: Starting off with this type of parasitic flatworm, this is one of the world's most amazing animals and so unusual that it almost seems like science fiction. What makes it so amazingly unique is it's ability to control the mind of ants. Yes, at one stage in its life cycle this flat worm will be eaten by an ant, at which point it will travel up to its brain and latch onto the motor cortex giving it complete control of all the ant's movements. During this phase, the flat worm will then use this ability to steer the ant onto the tip of a blade of grass to be eaten by a cow so that it can breed inside the cow's stomach. At once fascinating and disconcerting, and certainly one of the world's most amazing animals.
Gigantic Octopus: The gigantic octopus is so much one of the world's most amazing animals that it has actually become the thing of legend. The gigantic octopus has never been found in its entirety, but single tentacles have. Bigger than the already impressive colossal squid and other large sea creatures, it is believed that this is the 'Kraken' of legend and capable of sinking large boats.
Whales: Whales are impressive and some of the world's most amazing animals due to their size first and foremost because of their huge size, as the biggest animals on Earth. But perhaps even more amazing is the fact that they can communicate through a layer of the sea that allows their whale song to travel over great distances - over hundreds of miles. Almost like telephone, or more like internet, for whales.
Tardigrade: The tardigrade, sometimes referred to affectionately by scientists as the 'water bear', is a microscopic creature that apparently walks with the gait of a bear - which isn't what makes it one of the world's most amazing animals. That honour goes to the fact that this creature can live in incredibly hostile and uninhabitable conditions - including in deep space - and abandoned for ten days in space they were found to be able to survive with no oxygen, no light and no nutrients of any kind. On Earth they are also one of the world's most amazing animals in terms of hardiness and can survive without food for three decades!
Sarcosuchus: Sarcosuchus is no longer one of the world's most amazing animals as it is now sadly extinct. However most people who learn about this animal are still startled and have no idea of its existence. This is a type of crocodile that lived during the reign of the Dinosaurs that was so huge it could go toe-to-toe with a Tyrannosaurus Rex and would regularly eat them. Imagine that - a crocodile the size of a bus!
Turritopsis Nutricula Jellyfish: Finally, this type of jellyfish is one of the world's most amazing animals for having discovered the holy grail - this creature is genuinely immortal. By returning to its child-form, the 'pollyp', it is able to rejuvenate all of its individual cells. Of course it can still die from illness or by being killed by predators - but naturally it will never die of old age. Pretty amazing…
